With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Wood of Texarkana, Texas, born in Avery, Texas, who passed away on April 11, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Buell Wood and Tina Colleen Wood; and his sister Jimmie Nell Wood Bryan. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bartlett Wood; his children, Garian McEvoy (Mark), Jeff Wood and Danny Wood (Josselyn); his grandchildren, Erin McEvoy-Walker (Chris) and Travis McEvoy (Lisa); and his great grandchildren, Avery, Colten, Jaxson, Lakyn, Brooklyn, Greyson, Grey, Leila and Bohdi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Liberty Eylau Baptist Church and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
