It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Autry Elijah of Texarkana, Texas, who passed away on May 15, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Charlie Watson; her daughter Yvonne Brewer; and her brother Ceola Watson. She is survived by: her husband Frankie Elijah, Sr.; her brother Lee Darnell Watson (Linda) of California; her children, John Ray of California, Frankie Elijah, Jr. (Debra), Larry Elijah (Carmen), Reginald Elijah, Sr. (Shelia), Debra Ray, Cynthia Greer (Tyrone Lee), Tiney Chatmon (Gregory) of California and Robinea Elijah; her son-in-law Erwain Brewer of California; and her close friends, Ruby Grigsby and Bobbie Keel Taylor. She is also survived by friends and family.
