He was predeceased by: his stepfather Ray Hegler; his brother Terry Dickens; his half-brother Tim Dickens; and his father Hollis Dickens. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dickens of Leary, TX; his children, Stacey Reyenga of Benton, LA and Steven Rigsby of Shreveport, LA; his mother Joyce Hegler of Leary, TX; his stepsons, Tommy Clements of Red Lick, TX, Derrick Clements of Red Lick, TX and Cory Clements of Red Lick, TX; his half-brother Kevin Dickens of Arkansas; his stepsiblings, Tim Hegler of Kansas and Robin Erwin of New Boston, TX; and his uncle James Gunter of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 2 nephews.
