He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Gilbert and Leon Gilbert Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Gilbert of Wake Village; his children, Leon Harold Gilbert III of Freer, Shawn Gilbert (Shenee) of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Karol Hughes (Ricky) of Clute, Texas; his grandchildren, Whitley Le'An Gilbert of Washington, Alexandria Jane Gilbert of Washington, Skylar Gilbert of Greenbrier and Heather Minshew of Clute; his great grandchildren, Jordan Hughes, Emily Minshew and Munchie Gilbert; and his brothers, William Gerald Gilbert and Gary Dale Gilbert.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Texarkana.
