She was predeceased by: her parents, Rita Parrish and Roy Parrish; her husband John C. Steele; her daughter-in-law Dorie Steele; her sisters, Phyllis Parrish and Berniece; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Barton, Edwina Steele, Loren Steele and Leatha Steele.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Steele Rice (Jonathan), Kenneth Steele (Sheryl) and Clay Steele; her grandchildren, Arielle Rice Gigliotti (Anthony), Ellion Rice Maggard (Chance), Doriane Steele Cavanaugh (Matt), Adriane Carey Steele, Justin Steele (Cori) and Lee Jones; her great grandchildren, Carter Steele Cavanaugh and Isla Grace Gigliotti; and her nieces and nephews, Barbara Swanson, Patty Martin, Jeanne Steele, Karen Bryant, Mary Jayne Stephenson, Bob, Jim Wuerth, Jerry Steele and Mike Webb.
