We announce the death of Robert Daniel Tyson Sr. of Texarkana, Texas, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 88. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ivan Tyson and Opal Mary McPherson Tyson; his wife Helen Tyson; his daughter Brenda Walker; his grandchildren, Michelle and Timmy; and his brothers, Gary Tyler and Sammie Lynn Tyler.
He is survived by: his children, Carla, Roger Batchelor of DeKalb, Little Bob and Lorna Tyson of Texarkana, Texas; his brother Richard Tyson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Tyler and Faye Tyler. He is also survived by six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous family members.
