He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Sr. Holder and Nellie Holder; his son David Holder; and his sisters, Lois McWilliams and Safronie Holder.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his son Greg Holder (Melinda) of Tallahassee; his grandchildren, Ben Holder (Molly) of Shreveport and Grace Paunescu (Vlad) of Siloam Springs; his great grandchild Scarlett Paunescu; and his sister Mary Jo Reynolds of Pocahontas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
