It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Hawkins (Texarkana, Texas), who passed away on July 2, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Bill Hawkins. He is survived by: his spouse Lucille Hawkins of Texarkana; his son Mark Hawkins (Christal) of Texarkana; his grandchildren, Grace Hawkins of Texarkana and Jared Freeman of DeKalb; his great grandchildren, Gracie Crain of DeKalb, Jasper Crain of DeKalb and Zack Freeman of DeKalb; and his nieces and nephews, Grand Dog and Maggie. He is also survived by friends and other relatives.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. In lieu of flowers, the family ask you to make a donation to The Liberty Eylau Education Foundation,.

“I have young memories of Wayne Hawkins, as he was a friend of my Daddy's, Sammy Dawson. As far back as I can remember, Wayne was a friend of my Daddy, who passed away in 1967. I believe Wayne worked for Daddy when Daddy had a grocery store on College Hill. I remember Wayne would drop me off at the Wrestling Matches at College Hill and also pick me up and take me home. He was a very good friend to my parents. He was there when my Daddy passed away. They were good friends. I am saddened by his loss. Praying for wife and rest of family. God Bless. Pamelia Dawson”
