She was predeceased by: her husband McKinney Akin; and her sons, William McKinney Akin and George Akin. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Chris Akin (Megan), J. B. Flowers (Nancy), Regina Lederhos (Adam), Tiffany Griggs (Jason), Lacey Corbit (Adam) and Collin Akin (Tess); and her daughter-in-law Judy Akin. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Moores Chapel (5822 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX 75503).
