He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cooper and Pearl Marie Culbert (Matthews); his son Jay Dee; and his siblings, James "Doc" Culbert, Denzel Culbert, June Wright, Pat Kiddy and Sandra Hurlbert.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Stone of Texline; his children, Becky Culbert Cotton of Littlefield and Lance; his daughter-in-law Heather Culbert of Canyon; his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Dr. Jeana Culbert of Shallowater; his grandchildren, Justin Cotton (Ashley) of Lubbock, Ryan Cotton (Makayla) of Abilene, Kathryn Culbert Brooks (Joseph) of Amarillo and Duncan Culbert of Canyon; his great grandchild Lyndee; his stepsons, Bill Stone, Cal Stone and Dr. Don Stone; his brother Don Culbert; and his sisters-in-law, Carole Culbert and Sue Culbert. He is also survived by many other brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
