With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Fonetta Simmons of Thornton, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Fonetta left this world on May 22, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lee Petitt and Mirtie Balm Collins; and her spouse Billie Dean Simmons. She is survived by: her children, Bill Simmons (Rhonda) of Jewett and Gale Stone (Victor) of Thornton, Texas; her grandchildren, Kimberlie Aguilar (Frank), Leesa Sheldon (Stratton), Sara Zedaker (Wade), Doug Stone and Kristin Stone Ratliff; her great grandchildren, Colby Aguilar, William Aguilar, Isabella Aguilar, Addison Aguilar, Cooper Zedaker, Tucker Zedaker, Sawyer Zedaker, Cody Stone, Brandi Stone, Douglas "Bubba" Stone, Haley Stone, Hunter Stone, Tyler Ratliff and Mason Ratliff; and her great great grandchildren, Cree Stone and Killian Stone. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cook-Walden Funeral Home (14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Austin, TX 78753). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
