We announce the death of Julia Townsend of Three Rivers, Texas, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 88. Julia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Anthony Rogers and Elvira Rogers (Garcia); her spouses, Thomas Edward Barton and Elmo Franklin Townsend; her daughter Elizabeth Ann Barton; her brother Charles Anthony Rogers Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Emily Farias-Gonzalez (Barton) and Richard Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Ellizabeth Ann Barton, Thomas Edward Barton Jr., William Charles Barton (Renee), Patricia Ann Prough (Brad), Elmo Franklin Jr. and Townsend (Lola); her grandchildren, Trey, Rosann, Amber, William Jr., Alyse, Brittany, Nancy, Diana and Lalo; and her siblings, Katie Thomas and George Edward Rogers (Irma). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
