James Scott Obituary

We announce the death of James Scott of Timpson, Texas, who passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 56. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Ann Scott (Frederick) of Timpson, Texas. and Robert Joe Scott; and his grandparents, Joe Mildridge, Fannie Scott, William Buford and Emma Louise Frederick.

He is survived by: his wife Annette Epps Scott; his children, Bobby Hatcher (Melodie) of McAllen, Randall Hatcher (Vanessa) of Corrigan and Robanne Nuñez (Christina) of Pharr; his grandchildren, Connor Hatcher, Dixie Hatcher and Mason Nuñez; his siblings, Jo Ann Scott Hairgrove of Timpson, Rita Strahan (Danny) of Timpson, Shirley McQueen (Mark) of Timpson and Wayne Scott (Kathy) of Timpson; and his friends, Rodney Foster, Robert Hairgrove, Tommy Lee, William "Bubba" Lee, Dillon Porter, Bobby Scott, Johnny Scott, Dondi Tipton, Scott Baker and Mason Nuñez.
