She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clyde and Mildred Anne Bates Hudson; and her siblings, Betty Rhodes, Martha Duck, Charlotte Hayes and Donald Hudson.
She is survived by: her husband Corder of Timpson; her children, Dennis Corder, Dennise Meek (Jon) and Donna Higginbotham (Dannie); her siblings, Bobby Hudson (Brenda), Bubba Hudson (Wanda) and Carolyn Granbury; her grandchildren, Jamie Eastland, Deidra Meek (Matt Horn), Jordan Meek, Jason Meek, Delayna Higginbotham and Dionna Higginbotham; her great grandchildren, Skylar Edwards (Blake) and Gage Eastland (Sara); and her great great grandchildren, Shiloh Eastland and Flora Jane Edwards. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Assembly of God (1501 W Sabine St, Carthage, TX 75633).
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made in Marilyn's honor to Faith Assembly of God or the Timpson Library in lieu of flowers.
