With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Gail Smith of Tom Bean, Texas, born in Sherman, Texas, who passed away on February 3, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Copley and Jackie Copley; her husband Jerry Smith; her parents-in-law, J. D. and Jewel Smith; her siblings-in-law, Ralph Williams, David Teas, Barbara and Terri Copley; and her nephew Wayne Armstrong.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kerri England (Mark) of Sherman and Lisa Courtney (Steven) of Howe; her grandchildren, Jordan Reeves (Andy) of Sherman, Morgan England of Sherman, Madeline Bono (Kyle) of Howe, Katy Courtney and Cade Courtney of Howe; her great grandchildren, Lincoln, Quinn Reeves, Lila England and Knox Bono; her siblings, Bill Copley, Jr. of Sherman, Marion Williams of Tom Bean and Donna Rodgers (Albert) of Luella; her siblings-in-law, Terry Smith (Sue) of San Antonio, Linda Cripps (Larry) of Sherman and Brenda Teas of The Woodlands; her nieces and nephews, Kiley Fleming (Alan) of Tom Bean, Eric Rodgers (Laura) of Melissa, B. J, Steven, Michael, Marc, David, Matthew Smith, San Antonio, Rhonda Tollett and Gina Sousy; and her daughters, Kim Ring of Sherman and Paula Gilliam of Bells, TX.. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
To allow for social distancing there will be a come and go visitation from 6 pm – 8 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, Texas.
