He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Nell (Boessling) and Alfons Petrash. He is survived by: his wife Shari (Lord); his children, Hayley and Taylor; and his siblings, Barbara Windish and Paul Petrash (Cindy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

During the pandemic, Chris and Shari took up jigsaw puzzles and completed over 100!
