He is survived by: his wife Brigitte; his children, Eric Lix, James Lix, Edward Helmecke and Karin Ruppelius (Breck); his grandchildren, Zachary Lix, Makayla Ruppelius and Ashlynn Hamm (Austin); his great grandchildren, Ava and Weston; his granddaughter Megan Lix; and his siblings, Tom Lix, Marvin Lix (Susan) and Cathy Barnes (Perry). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
