He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Ritter and Anne Scarle Ritter; his wives, Margaret Graves Ritter (Peg) and Lois Levin Ritter; his children, Ann Wells and Thomas Ritter; and his grandson Matthew Sloan.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Edie and Ed, Jr.; his children, Edie Sloan (Jim), Amy Ritter, Linda Ritter, Ed, Jr. Ritter (Marlene) and Jim Ritter (Amy); his son-in-law Mark Wells; his grandchildren, Terral Wells (Andrea), Adam Wells (Abby), Amy Sloan, Destinee Sloan-Yurcak (Jeff), Nic Ritter, Jake Ritter, Emma Hale, Olivia Hale, Caleb Ritter, Jonah Ritter and Ethan Ritter; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte Sloan, Nora Yurcak and Margaret Yurcak.
