He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Sylvester Moody and Martha Jane Wilson Moody (Molly); his wife Velen Villareal; and his siblings, Richard Sylvester Moody, Leona Leverett, Pearl Alexander, Pauline Fay Hatcher and Lorene May Goodwin.
He is survived by: his close friends, Toni Turner and Kyle Martin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
