He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ignacio Barrera and Ofelia Barrera; his wife Lidia Barrera; his children, Ninfa Cavazos (Mario), Lidia Barrera, Ignacio Barrera III (Patricia) and Maria Alicia Saenz (Daniel); his grandson Daniel Saenz, Jr. (Janett Akerman); his great grandchildren, Ashton Garcia, Adan Cavazos, Julia Akerman, Ruben Salinas and Isabella Garcia; and his siblings, Amelia Guerra, Francisca Lopez and Robey Barrera. He was also cherished by his family, friends.
