With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Evelyn Stevens of Tomball, Texas, who passed away on February 19, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Ellen Bradley Long and Homer Long; her brother James Long; her former husband Robert Stevens; her husband Tommy Strange; and her son Dwayne Stevens.
She is survived by: her sister Carolyn McLain (Arville); her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Long and Debbie Woodward (Billy); her children, Sheryl Childs (Bill) and Todd Stevens (Sandra); her daughter-in-law Alisha Stevens; her stepchildren, Tommy Lee Strange (Stephanie) and Kimberly Handley (Chad); her grandchildren, Brent Childs, Brittany Robinson (Josh), Morgan Childs (Chris Foster), Cameron Stevens, Emma Stevens, Hannah Stevens, Addison Stevens, Chloe Stevens, Jonathan Strange (Megan), Morgan Neaves (Patrick) and Ashley Handley; and her great grandchildren, Liam Shipley, Cid Foster, Reese Robinson, Nash Robinson, Mollie Childs and Mason Strange. She is also survived by her family, friends.
She was honored to serve with Leadership North Houston, Tomball Business and Professional Women, Tomball ISD Education Foundation and was a dedicated volunteer with TOMAGWA.
