He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Gay and Thadene Gay (Lewis); his wife Mary; his son Jerry Michael Nance; and his siblings, James William Nance, Abe Gay, Jr., Peggy Nance Shoemake and Ann Nance Meyer.
He is survived by: his children, Kenny Nance (Connie) of Lamesa, John Nance (Cassandra) of Trent and Mary Martha King (David) of Lumberton; his siblings, Paul Michael Nance (Mary Lee) of Peaster, Richard Allen Nance (Cindy) of Austin, David Gay of Kentucky and Bobbie Jo Gay of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Cole Nance, Nigel Nance, Dereck King, Nikki Igarta, Christopher Cribb, Jeffrey Cribb and Cody Cox; and his great grandchildren, Maverick King, Rylee King, Matthew Cribb, Isabella Cribb, Jade Igarta and Lainey Igarta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
