It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dawn Kathleen Saltz of Trinity, Texas, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Dawn Kathleen leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hodel and Mary Hodel. She is survived by: her husband Shawn Saltz; her brother Steven Hodel; and her aunt Barbara Lohaus. She is also survived by six dogs and two cats.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Waller-Thornton Funeral Home - Trinity (203 San Jacinto St, Trinity, TX 75862). A graveside service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Clapp Cemetery.
