She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Lee Mericle and Billie F. Pillows; her stepfather Robert Pillows; her brother Earl Ray Mericle; her brother-in-law Jimmy White; and her grandson Hunter Thompson.
She is survived by: her close friend Alvin Thibodeaux, Sr.; her daughter Katricia Hortman; her son-in-law Ricky Hortman of Trinity, Texas; her son Brad Hobbs (Dawn Crabtree) of New Waverly, Texas; her siblings, Preston (Mary Mericle) and Billie Grace White of Trinity, Texas; her grandchildren, Cole Hortman, Lexie Hobbs, Maddie Hobbs, Marlee Hobbs and Tate Hobbs; and her great grandchild Lilith Oliver.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Floye may be made to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center -or- Texas Oncology -or- Waldron Medical Research and Development.
