With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lewis Edward Jones of Trinity, Texas, born in Jasper, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 19, 2025 at the age of 79. He is survived by: his wife Darleen Jones of Groveton, Texas; his children, Michael Edward Jones (Sheila) of Bullard, Texas, Lisa Kay Kotyk (Ronald) of Anchorage, Alaska, Steven Lewis Jones (Michelle) and Mark Lynn Jones (Jamie) of Friday, Texas.; his grandchildren, Jeremy Jones (Brittany) of Tyler, Jason Jones (Caitlin Roberson) of Tyler, Michael Dennis Cochran (Dawn Marie) of Seattle, Washington, Christi Kay Cromeens (Kevin) of Woodlake, Lainey Jones of San Diego, California, Abbigail Jones of Trinity, Adam Jones of Trinity, Cole Jones of Houston, Trent Jones, Angela of Livingston, Kenzie Nicole Amberson of Groveton, John Falls, Jr. of Livingston and Isaac Amberson of Missouri; his great grandchildren, Emma, Isabella, Beau, Harper, Finley, Eden, Easton, Elijah, Ethanel, Ember, Rebecca, Sawyer, Stella, Shelby, Darla, Ruby, Rosie and River; his brother James Allen Jones of Jasper, Texas; his brother-in-law Dewey Ward (Phyllis) of The Villages, Florida; and his close friend Connie Due of Groveton, Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Children's Playground fund at First Baptist Church of Groveton because that was a project near and dear to Bro. Jones' heart.
