He was predeceased by: his brother Joe Dwayne Shields; and his grandparents, Marion, Martha Mouton and Jane Sheilds. He is survived by: his parents, George "Buddy" Shields and Katherine Laura Shields (Mouton); his wife Stephanie Trice; his children, Brianna Nicole Pounds (Hailey), Mia Destyni Shields (Evan), Shawn Glen Shields and Zackery Shields; his grandson Elijah Anthony Braillif; his siblings, Shane Shields (Danielle) and Barbara Stokes (Jack); and his grandfather George Shields. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Waller-Thornton Funeral Home - Trinity (203 San Jacinto St, Trinity, TX 75862).
