He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tom and Wrennie Mignon Ginn Fields; his wife Frances Louise Dark Fields; his son Billy James Fields; his son-in-law Clifford G. Phillips; and his close friend Betty Bundy.
He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Kay Phillips of Benbrook, TX; his grandchildren, Michelle Phillips and Kevin Phillips; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rodman and Kimberly Sturt; and his great great grandchild Rosalynn Sturt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
