We bid farewell to Alan Leonard Pelzel of Troy, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 17, 2025 at the age of 74. Alan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Fritz Pelzel and Selma Lee Folschinsky Pelzel; and his daughter Jennifer Pelzel. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Pelzel; his daughters, Jessica Doskocil (Paul) and Allison Pelzel; his grandchildren, Collin, Brenden and Makinley Doskocil; and his sisters, Shirley Brown and Jeanie Kirk.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home (3110 Airport Rd, Temple, TX 76504). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Luke Catholic Church (2807 Oakdale Dr, Temple, TX 76502). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bellwood Memorial Park (8575 Airport Rd, Temple, TX 76502).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the St. Luke Catholic Church Building Fund.
