He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wm and Doris Emma Brelje McDaniel; his siblings-in-law, Norman Kinder, Charlene McDaniels and John C. Hartmann; his nephew John C. Hartmann Jr.; and his great-nephew Michael George Forsting.
He is survived by: his former wife Edna Mae Hitzemann; his wife Alice Kay Hartmann; his children, Jody McDaniels (Lisa) of Colorodo Springs, CO and Jason McDaniels (Jennifer) of Sparta, IL; his grandchildren, Shelby McDaniels and Brayden McDaniels of Sparta, IL; his siblings, Joe Frederick McDaniels of Steeleville, IL, Judith Kay Kinder of Willisville, IL and Patricia Ann Gemmill (Mike) of Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Hartmann of Perryville, MO, Betty Qualls of Percy, IL and May Rose (Mark) of Chester, IL.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
