He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Maciel and Felipa Maciel (Martinez); his wife Noemi Maciel; his daughter Graciela Carbajal; and his siblings, Lupe Maciel, Jose Garza, Olivia Aguilar and Jose Maciel.
He is survived by: his children, Abel Maciel (Amber) of Tulia, Jessica Medellin of Tulia, Maria Louisa Maciel of Tulia and Silvester Maciel (Raquel) of Tulia; and his sister Adela Trevino of Edinburg. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
