He was predeceased by: his parents, David Sosa and Francisca Rubio Sosa (Rubio); and his siblings, Samuel Sosa and Rosa Galan. He is survived by: his children, MaryAnn Sosa, Lionel Sosa Jr. (Sheila), Francis Farfan (Javier), Betty Sosa (Van), Jesse Sosa (Rachelle), Susana Garza, Carlos Sosa (Tania) and Paul Sosa II; and his siblings, Luisa Rodriguez, Delia Chapa, Irene Martinez and David Sosa Jr.. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
