It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paula Silbaz Sosa (Tulia, Texas), who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Silvaz and Cesaria Silvaz (Perez); her son Leonel Sosa Jr. I; and her siblings, Lucia Armendariz, Pedro Silvaz and Petra Soto.
She is survived by: her husband Leonel Sosa, Sr.; her children, Mary Ann Sosa (Martina), Francis Farfan (Javier), Lionel Sosa, Jr. (Sheila), Betty Sosa (Van), Jesse Sosa (Rachelle), Susana Garza, Carlos Sosa (Tanya) and Paul Sosa; and her siblings, Pablo Silvaz, Romana Loya, Felix Silvaz, Carlos Silvaz, Jr. and Martin Montoya. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM and at 6:30 PM. Viewing was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors (201 W Broadway Ave, Tulia, TX 79088). A Mass was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 317 W Main, Happy, TX 79042. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Happy Cemetery.
