He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Morris and Marie Knight Morris; his daughter Kayla Dawn Morris; his brother Jerol D Morris; and his sister-in-law Martha Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Lewis of Tulia; his daughters, Kimberly Hoelting (Cory) of Tulia and Karla Cator of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Madison Hoelting of Keller, Jaxton Hoelting of Lubbock, Tripp Cator of College Station and Ashton Cator of Lubbock; his siblings, Don Morris (Charlie) of Stephenville and Sonia White of Wellington; his nephew Dannie Morris (Terri); his nieces, Jeanne Taylor (Carl) of Wellington, Sandy Self of Canadian and Kaci Morris of Stephenville; and his great-nephew Riley.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Dale Morris Athletic Scholarship in care of Happy State Bank in Tulia.
