With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Wilton Gerald Whitehead of Tulia, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Whitehead and Planie Whitehead (Stephens); his wife Shirley Whitehead; his brother George Ray Whitehead; his sister-in-law Lallie Patton (Haynes); and his son-in-law Larry "Happy" Cole.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Cole of Tulia and Sharon Hughes (Kenny) of Plainview; his grandchildren, Jason Hughes (Holly) of Canyon and Carrie Hughes (Jeffre Skipworth) of Dallas; his great grandchild Kenley Hughes of Canyon; and his sister-in-law Faye Whitehead of Carthage. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Tulia, TX or Swisher County Senior Citizens.
