He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Harold Pyron and Ona Lee Whiddon Pyron; his son Billy D. Pyron II; and his brothers, Bobby H. Pyron and Eddie Michael "Mike" Pyron.

He is survived by: his close friend Judith D. Elliott; his daughters, Merilyn Hartley, Shelley Simpson (John) and Rhonda Overbergen (Todd); the parent of his children Merigale Manziel Pyron; and his grandchildren, Hunter Hartley (Jennifer), Morgan Hartley (William), Clayton Overbergen, Carley Overbergen, Cole Overbergen and Billy Pyron III. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
