He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Kennedy of Tyler; his children, Bryant Kennedy (Cynthia) of Dallas, Texas, Nicholas Kennedy (Roselyn) of Dallas, Texas and Lakeidra Haygood (Pernell) of Maryland; and his siblings, Leonard Kennedy of Tyler, Burford Kennedy of Tyler, Vergie Myles of Tyler, Texas, Barbara Hall (Johnny) of Tyler, Texas and Debra Tate (Dennis) of Tyler, Texas. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
