It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Carl Cooper of Tyler, Texas, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alpheus Floyd and Lyda Mae Cooper; his son Terry Lynn Cooper; his brothers, Floyd Cooper and Aaron Cooper (Nelda); and his brothers-in-law, Cecil Morgan and Basil Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Andrea Cooper; his sons, David Cooper, Jr. (Valerie) and Kelly Cooper (Susan); his stepdaughters, Lynn Dark and Carleen Dark-Bays (Brad); his siblings, Steve Cooper (Barbara), Beth Morgan and Genieva Hill; and his sister-in-law Gloria Cooper. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jackson’s-Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home (215 E Front St, Tyler, TX 75702). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at the Rose Lawn Cemetery (2003 Blue Mountain Blvd, Tyler, TX 75703).
