He was predeceased by: his parents, David Dewitt Dean and Gladys Rogers Dean; and his sister Suzanne Dean. He is survived by: his wife LaDonna; his children, Sarah Larrew (Lance) and Paul Dean; his sisters, Deanna Carsten (Henry) and Gretchen Roddy (Jerry); and his grandchildren, Savannah, Andrew, Katelyn, Madison and Hunter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
