He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Grady Pierson and Frances Pierson; and his sister Mary June Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Melba; his sons, Leif Pierson and Derik Pierson (Elizabeth); and his grandchildren, Myra, Anthony and Sara Pierson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
