He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oliver Layne and Ruth Alma Grant Layne. He is survived by: his children-in-law, Sheila and Tommy; his wife Barbara Ann Bohr; his children, Jason Layne (Sheila) of Tyler and Jessica Neugebauer (Tommy) of Tyler; his grandchildren, Kamden Layne, Maddox Layne, Mark David Neugebauer and John Thomas Neugebauer; and his brothers, Lonnie Layne of Meridian, Dale Layne (Patricia) of Austin and Mike Layne (Teresa) of Lindale. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
