He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Hubert Spann and Mittie Cleveland; and his brother Elmo Gene Spann. He is survived by: his wife Syble Spann of Tyler, Texas; his children, David Gene Spann, Donna Ann Spann and Paul Hubert Spann; and his brother Charles Spann. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
