He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Sims and Patsy Sims; his grandparents, Lawrence and Ivadell Alberts; and his cousins, Renee, Deborah and Karen.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie Ann and Matthew; his uncle Jerry Albert; his aunt Margaret Alberts Giddens; and his cousins, Leann Jenkins (Bradley), Laura Frederickson (Ronald) and Billy D. Giddens (Lisa).
