It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ertis Eugene Bass of Tyler, Texas, born in Rocky, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Bass and Ertis Bass; and his daughter Gena Bass Forest. He is survived by: his wife Joice; his children, Stephanie Bass Gutkowski of Tyler and Kent Bass (Carrie) of Ben Wheeler; and his grandchildren, Justin Boldt, Casey Heinrich, April Paredez, Austin Scott, Hayley Fulton, Melody Bass, Tabitha Bass and Hunter Bass. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
