He was predeceased by: his father Troy Hughes, Sr.; his brother Troy Hughes, Jr.; his stepfather Bobby Gill; and his sister-in-law Pam Sumrall Arceneaux. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Sumrall Hughes; his mother Thelma Hughes Gill; his children, Brooke A. Hughes (Andrew Jenkins) and Corey L. Hughes; his siblings, Beverly Price (Bill), Todd Hughes (Sandra) and Chris Hughes (Tara); his stepmother Carolyn Hughes; his stepsiblings, Mike Antley (Laura), Glenn Gill (Jenny), Ann Jenkins, Susan Watt and Peggy Handy; his parents-in-law, Denzil and Betty Rose Sumrall; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Hughes and Marvin Sumrall. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
