It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Strickland of Tyler, Texas, born in Ada, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Stone and Frank Strickland; and his brother Frank "Butch" Strickland. He is survived by: his sister Louise "Sissy" Tate; his wife Betty Strickland of Tyler; his children, Jim Strickland (Jana) of Houston, Nadia Strickland of Tyler, Suzanne Strickland (Toni) of Tyler, Ashley Greener (Blake) of Rockwall, Sara Kennedy (Steven) of Kingwood and Jamie Smith (Jeremy) of Tyler; and his great grandchildren, Ellie Greener, Evelyn Kennedy, Lillian Smith and Sullivan Kennedy.
