He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Albert and Carlyn Louise Bernhardt; and his brother Michael Wayne Bernhardt. He is survived by: his wife Jodi Alexander of Tyler; his stepsons, Jason Bryant and Joel Bryant; his daughter Carrie Bryant Wright; his brother Walter Stephen Bernhardt (Cathy) of Stuart, Florida; his sister-in-law Brenda Bernhardt; his daughters, Wendy Elizabeth Nichols of Northbrook and Ashley Dawn Andrews (Ryan Lynn Andrews) of New Bern; his stepson Andy York of Tyler; his grandchildren, Ben, Reagan, Peyton, Laird and Gillian; and his great grandchild Kora. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family request that any memorials be made to Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Tyler.
