He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Owen and Peaches Owen; his wife Rebecca; his children, Patrick (Cathelene), Sophia (Blake Robinson) and Darby; his grandchildren, Isabelle, Alice, Archer, Ramona, Joan and Matthew; his siblings, Celeste (Bob Rekeita) and Paul (Teresa); and his siblings' children, Kristen, Lindsay, Bryce and Nicholas.

John was honored to serve as president of the Louis and Peaches Owen Family Foundation.
