He is survived by: his wife Edna; and his children, Kathryn Case (Ward), Carolyn Hayes (Mark), Nancy Drennan, Lori Thompson and Joseph Thompson Jr. (Liz). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
