Joyce Vandiver Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Vandiver of Tyler, Texas, born in Edinburg, Texas, who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucille Wiley and Wesley Howard Wiley; her son Jon Robert; her husband William R. Vandiver; and her sister Mary Heptig.

She is survived by: her son James Mark (Dawn) of Tyler; her grandsons, Will (Claire) of Fort Worth, TX and Calvin (Jessica Neill) of Tyler; and her brothers, Howard Wiley of Austin, TX and Jon Wiley of Hideaway. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Jon Robert Swinnea Endowment Scholarship in the School of Medicine at UTMB, 301 University Blvd., Galveston, TX 77555.
