It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Sandifer of Tyler, Texas, born in Danville, Illinois, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Schlunaker and Nellie Jenkins Schlunaker; her siblings, Jerry Schlunaker, Tom Schlunaker, Bob Schlunaker, Marlene Scott and Sue Hoffman; her daughter-in-law Anastasia Hillard; and her stepchildren, Shelia Donovan and Patrick Sandifer.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Thornton and Phil Hillard of Tyler; her former husband Phillip Hillard, Sr. of Tyler; her grandchildren, Cody Thornton of Tyler, John Thornton of Tyler, Jennifer Thornton of Tyler and Kaci Graham of Dallas; her siblings, Linda Onley of Tyler and Larry Schlunaker of Danville, IL; and her stepchildren, Angie Elliott of Kilgore, Stephanie Tull of Tyler and Mickey Sandifer of Louisiana. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
